Here we will take a look at the Lackawanna Railroad, the smaller component of the Erie Lackawanna Railroad, which succeeded it, and the Erie, which will be discussed in detail elsewhere. Pocono,Pocono Summit,Moscow,Tobyhanna, Scranton,Binghamton,Vestal,Waverly,Elmira,Corning, Painted Post, Bath,Wayland,Dansville,Mount Morris, and Buffalo,NY. All aboard, please.

To get a rough understanding of how the Delaware,Lackawanna and Western Railroad came to be the fast freight and passenger carrier between Buffalo and the New York area via the shortest route, it is felt that a rough family tree of the companies that went into the railroad's formation would not be a bad place to start. 3.Lackawanna and Bloomsburg Railroad
